The youngest date of the week came in on Saturday morning ..
... and the eldest date came on Sunday evening.
But the best part of the evening was at 7:30 when Curt asked Tiff if she could clear the fireplace table. Tiff more than readily grabbed the busing tray and a cloth and headed off ... only to draw up short as she saw Jeff, her sweetie, sitting there, waiting for her.
Tiff has been one of the greatest gifts to the TH. Her attitude is consistently good and her hard work and leadership has been remarked upon on several occasions.
Now she is getting ready to leave us and to take the initial steps toward her future career. So I thought this would be a little opportunity to surprise her with a mini date and to tell her that we love her.
Unfortunately, after dinner it was back to the kitchen for our little Cinderella ... |
What a lovely weekend it was! I can hardly wait for Tuesday ...
Just lovely, I wish I was going on a date there tomorrow!
ReplyDeleteI wish you were too. I wish you were here every weekend, quite frankly ... I miss making ice cream tea!
DeleteSounds like a great weekend at the teahouse!
ReplyDeleteSarah, it was! One of these days you and Dana will have to be part of the magic ...
DeleteSounds like a fun place to be for Valentines! Any day for that matter:). We're really going to have to make it out your way again one of these days. How do you make ice cream tea?
ReplyDeleteFind the perfect tea cup, preferably one with a cat or a dog on it. Pour in vanilla rooibos tea. Add a dollop of ice cream. Top with whipped cream. Serve to Jakob, a tiny boy with beguiling blue eyes. Repeat as needed. He created this recipe; and since he's moved to Cambridge with his Mom, Dad and sister, I miss making it for him on a Saturday morning!
DeleteThat dessert looks really good...I am needing a TH fix! Just don't know when I will be back out...hopefully soon.
ReplyDeleteSilly tax time ... Get out here as soon as you can!!
DeleteBest Valentine's day ever, thank you so much Karyn!
ReplyDeleteYou two looked so sweet in the purple chairs - and who knew that your man would come dressed up to the nines, complete with tie, tie pin and cufflinks! Whoever gave him those has very good taste ...
